Q1. How difficult is it to erect my building?
Answer: Some of our customers who purchase smaller buildings choose to erect their own metal building. We supply a bolt together, all-steel frame, which is precision manufactured for easy construction.General Steel metal buildings come with standard product drawings to help in the construction of the building. A qualified contractor or metal building erector should erect larger, more complex buildings.
Q2. What if I choose not to erect the building myself?
Answer: In most cases, General Steel is able to provide a list of independent contractors from which to choose to erect your metal building. Many general contractors are familiar with General Steel metal buildings.
Q3. From where will my General Steel building be shipped?
Answer: General Steel ships buildings from 5 locations, including: Houston TX.; Lockeford, CA.; Monticello, IA.; Elizabethton, TN.; Phoenix AZ \
Q4. Is there a warranty available on the building?
Answer: A General Steel metal building comes with a 50 year structural warranty and a 20 year warranty on the paint. Please see your project coordinator or dealer for details.
Q5. Will my building conform to local building codes?
Answer: General Steel metal buildings are engineer certified to comply with all U.S. building codes.
Q6. What can I do to customize my building?
